A woman who was a front seat passenger in a car involved in a head-on smash with another vehicle in Lancashire has died in hospital.
The 38-year-old was in the front of a Honda Civic which collided with a Renault Laguna in Lea Lane, Lea, at around 8.15pm on Friday, January 29.
She suffered serious head injuries in the crash.
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said her life support machine was turned off at the Royal Preston Hospital at 7.40pm on Sunday.
Her family were by her side. She has not been named by police but is from Maidstone in Kent.
Four people were seriously injured in the crash.
Two men had to be cut free from the Civic following the smash. One of them, who is believed to have been the driver, suffered a fractured sternum and the other, a back seat passenger, had fractured his legs and wrist.
A second woman, a back seat passenger, suffered cuts to her head.
The male driver of the Renault made his own way to hospital for a precautionary check-up.
The road was closed off for several hours while police investigated the collision.
