Marie Curie Cancer Care has chosen Lions Clubs as its first official collecting partner for the annual Great Daffodil Appeal.

Members of Garstang and District Lions Club held fund-raising collections in Sainsbury’s, selling the iconic springtime daffodil pins to shoppers, to help reach a target of £1m over three years.

Lions Club president, Dave Gardner, says: “We are proud to be able to support the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal, as our focus is on helping our local community. This is a great cause and we thank everyone in Garstang who gave so generously.”
