SCORTON'S fifth vintage and country fair pulled in crowds at the weekend, attracting thousands of visitors and putting the annual event on the regional tourist map and greater Garstang's summer events scene.
People travelled from all corners of the country to enjoy the transport-linked attractions, which included a monster truck display team, lawn mower racing as well as steam vintage and classic vehicles, from military and commercial to agricultural.
Organiser Paul Whittingham said he was delighted with the success and pleased the weather had been good for the event.
There were 700 exhibits in the vintage vehicle section, which included cars, tractors and motorbikes.
The steam engines section of the event also proved hugely popular.
Mr Whittingham said there had been a great atmosphere throughout the two day show, held at Woodacre Lodge Farm, Gubberford Lane, near Scorton.
He said the event had been particularly well attended and enjoyed by younger people, taking advantage of the under 10s free admission.
