Keen painter Dave breezes into first place in art contest
WINNERS OF THE OPEN COMP. Best photograph.
The Open Art Competition, held annually by Garstang and District Arts Society, attracted 99 entries this year.
Dave Jaundrell won, with his painting called Sea Breeze. Two second prizes were awarded to Annette Craig and Bruno Degrassi. with Jill Rouse, Maureen Adams and Julie Robinson Southward as the runners up. The judges were Thelma Holt and Carol Bennet and prizes were presented by society chairman, Mary Thornber.
The pictures can be seen in Garstang Arts Centre on Tuesdays from 10am to 12-30pm and 2pm to 4pm, Thursdays from 10am to 4pm and Saturdays from 10am to 12-30pm until February 7. Entry is free.
