A PUPIL from St Aiden’s Technology College looks set for a glittering horse riding career after great success in her latest show.

Megan Porter (12), who has been riding seriously for five years, entered the Myerscough College Hunt Show and won all three of the classes she entered, show pony, show hunter pony and the championship.

Megan has had pony Pipper for a year and keeps her at Meadow Farm Stables in Out Rawcliffe where she goes every day to muck out.

Megan’s love of riding comes from her family, who are all keen riders. She rides three times a week and enters competitions most weekends. Her ambition is to compete at county and national level.

Megan says: “I got into horse riding because both my mum and sister already rode and I thought I’d like to try it. I love horse riding because I love being with horses, as they are friendly natured, and I like the competitions”.
