Bowland Village Inns’ Punchbowl Inn at Churchtown has been recognised for its food quality by national body Quality in Tourism.

It was singled out for its commitment to the Taste Lancashire initiative, which promotes local produce, and was congratulated for providing a consistently high quality dining experience.

Inspectors have awarded it the Quality Assured Mark, noting that the Punchbowl offers an enjoyable dining experience with well presented and quality cooked food. Head chef Phil Madden said: “To receive this plaudit by a national organisation dedicated to quality is an acknowledgement of the hard work by the team that goes into creating a great dining experience.”
