The eleventh annual Chipping Tractor Road Run on Sunday saw 47 tractors take part, an effort which helped organisers raise more than £600.

Participants had travelled from as far afield as Wigan, Manchester and Carnforth and, after taking off from Chipping showground on Green Lane, travelled a 50 mile route through picturesque countryside.

The run included Stonyhurst, Waddington, Tosside, Slaidburn, Newton, Dunsop Bridge and Whitewell, with an off-road section mapped out through Gisburn Forest by kind permission of the Forestry Commission.

Lunch was enjoyed at Crowtrees Caravan Park in Tosside by drivers and supporters, and the £600 raised from entry fees, a raffle and donations, was in aid of North West Air Ambulance.
