£1,000 prize for Bowland project

As part of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’s 50th Anniversary celebrations this year, Champion Bowland organised a prize raffle with great support from a large number of tourism operators in the Forest of Bowland area.

The raffle raised nearly £1000 which Champion Bowland now wants to offer as a special one-off ‘Jubilee Award’ to a project in the AONB area which will have a lasting environmental or landscape impact.

The Trustees of Champion Bowland are looking for a single project to support that will:

l Conserve or enhance the area’s outstanding landscape

l Create a project that has a lasting impact.

l Involve the local community, especially young people.

Community groups, environmental organisations, volunteers and youth groups are all invited to apply.

Applications should be made using the application form which can be found at www.championbowland.org.uk and must be submitted by 10 February 2015.
