Police name Garstang train death man

POLICE have named the man who died after being hit by a train on the railway line at Brock last week.
He was Mr Michael John Beesley, 54, of Sycamore Road, Bilsborrow.
As reported in last week's Courier, he was hit by the the 07.03 Birmingham to Glasgow train on Tuesday, July 15.
The driver of the train spotted him emerging from bushes onto the line but was unable to stop the train in time.
The train, which was travelling at about 110mph came to a halt about half a mile noth of Brock Crossing.
Mr Beesley was pronounced the man dead at the scene. The coroner has been informed and an inquest will be held.
