THE Duchy of Lancaster was due to lodge its plans to base the Royal Lancashire Show at Myerscough in 2008, 2009 and 2010 with Wyre Council this week.
Details of the plans have now been posted on a specially created website, www.dukeoflancasterpark.co.uk
The planning application is expected to contain details of the proposed traffic arrangement which are thought to include a scheme to send some of the Myerscough-bound traffic on a route from Preston, via the M55 to Little Singleton, Great Eccleston and St Michaels.
Villagers in Barton have already voiced concerns about the Myerscough plans, largely on grounds of the potential traffic problems caused by a big influx of vehicles.
