MOTORISTS are being reminded to remove valuables from their cars after thieves targeted several cars in a St Michaels pub car park.
Three cars parked at The Grapes car park in St Michaels had their stereos stolen after thieves broke in to the vehicles overnight on Thursday, February 4.
One of the cars had its soft top damaged and another had its window smashed when the thieves gained access to the vehicles.
Sgt Fraser Earnshaw, Fleetwood Police, said: "It is unusual for thieves to take car stereos these days, as they are usually looking for things like sat navs and iPods. However, anything of value that is left on display can act as a temptation for them.
"When leaving your vehicle either take valuables with you, or remove them from display, putting them in the glove compartment or boot. Motorists should also make sure they lock their vehicles – leaving a car unlocked makes it all the more easier for thieves to take your property."
Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to contact police on 01524 63333.
