Farmers throughout the area are being invited to help showcase British farming by getting involved in this year’s Open Farm Sunday.
A free information event will be held at New Laund Farm, Whitewell, Clitheroe, Lancashire on Tuesday, April 23.
Open Farm Sunday is organised by LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming).
The bring the town to country event is more relevant than ever this year, because public interest in where food comes from is at an all-time high.
This year’s open-day event will be on June 9.
The information day aims to inspire and enthuse host farmers with new ideas on how to create a successful day out for visitors.
It will also provide the latest health and safety information whilst providing an opportunity share ideas and experiences with other host farmers.
Annabel Shackleton, Open Farm Sunday Manager, said: “Whether henshensyou are planning an invitation-only event for 20 or so guests, or a large open day for over 1,000 visitors, every event matters.
“Open Farm Sunday is a valuable day for visitors and farmers alike.
“There is so much to celebrate about British farming.
“As well as offering a chance to tell your story, our research shows that many farmers report real business benefits from opening.”
Booking is essential.
