World renowned floral designer Gregor Lersch is coming to Lancashire this weekend.
“What an amazing coup for Lancashire!” said Carl and Sara Barrow, event organisers from Goosnargh.
They said they are thrilled to announce Gregor Lersch will be holding a workshop and a demonstration, organised by Goosnargh-based Hollow Horse Events, this Saturday, June 8 and on Sunday, June 9.
Gregor is one of the world’s leading floral designers.
He has won many national and international awards and prizes in the field of floristry.
He travels the world promoting European design, demonstrating and inspiring florists and floral artists alike and his work has been shown in all corners of the world.
Gregor is also the author of 28 inspirational books on floral design and his new book Floral Craftsmanship No 2 is due out soon.
The weekend is entitled Blooming Botanical Structures and on Saturday the demonstration is at King George’s Hall, Blackburn from 2pm-5pm and tickets are £20.
On Sunday, Gregor will hold a workshop at The Ace Centre, Nelson from 9am to 5pm. Tickets include all flowers, sundries, lunch and refreshments and numbers are limited.
Gregor hails from Germany, comes from a family of gardeners and is the fifth generation of the Lersch family. He dedicates his life to nature and its design.
His philosophy is said to be simple - that flower and floral work must be an integral part of our lives, suitable and in harmony with the diversity of our precious environment.
Gregor works with plants and flowers in all of their elements.
The recurrent message in his distinctive designs is to showcase the natural form of flora to its best advantage while continually striving to achieve new and ever changing forms of expression. He promises to be able to create something exciting with any type of material.
