Popular Garstang store manager Paul Guy has said farewell to his staff and customers.
Mr Guy had been manager of the Booths store, Garstang, for the past three years and became highly respected during his time at the helm.
He has been with the company for 36 years and has worked in many of the firm’s stores around the region.
He had previously worked at Booths original Garstang store (opposite the new store), as well as at Windermere and Penwortham.
He has now returned to the Penwortham store as manager.
Commenting on his three year stint at the new Booths store in Garstang he said: “It was great to be asked to open the new Garstang store and to be a part of the local community, involved in bodies such as the Chamber of Trade, Garstang Link and the Victorian Festival etc.
“I miss being in Garstang. I enjoyed every minute of working in the town, the local people are great and the staff in the store are great.
“It’s a chapter in my career that will always hold fond memories.”
He said the move to Penwortham was a company decision as Booths has policy to move managers around every three or four years.”
