The village of Scorton is
offering visitors the chance to start their Yuletide shopping early with its Christmas Food and Gift Fair in the village hall this Sunday, November 2.

A second fair will be held on Sunday, December 7.

Spokeswoman Joanne Golton said: “The fairs are a very popular event and we regularly welcome hundreds of people, with even more
expected this year.

“This fair is renowned for promoting local produce and the talented artisans of Lancashire. Be it a Christmas pudding, chutneys, knitted stockings or cheese, the organisers guarantee you will find all you need to make your Christmas truly scrumptious.”

The free event will feature more than 20 stalls selling a variety of Lancashire foods and gifts.

These include jewellery, ceramics, homeware, textiles, Christmas gifts, glassware, biscuits, meats, woodcraft, cheeses, preserves, cards and much more. Refreshments will also be served.

Money raised will go to Scorton Village Hall. Entry is free and the gift fair will be open from 10.30am to 4pm.
