Church’s commitment to Fairtrade

Barnacre All Saints Church received special recognition at a service at Blackburn Cathedral marking the Blackburn diocese’s tenth anniversary as a Fairtrade diocese.

The Bishop of Lancaster the Rt Rev Geoff Pearson and the Rev Canon Ed Saville, Diocesan Lead Officer for Social Responsibility are pictured with (L to R) Sue Goldspink, Jean Miller and Rosemary Wainwright from Barnacre Church. The PCC (church governing body) of Barnacre recently committed itself to becoming a Fairtrade parish andthey were presented with a commemorative certificate.The Cathedral also hosted an exhibition of photographs from the Fairtrade Foundation.
