A CHARITY head shave took place in a Garstang pub on Sunday, raising money for cancer care.

The head shave at the Kings Arms raised more than £1,000 for Macmillan Care, with plucky volunteers Joe Miller, Carlo Maticheccia, Gary Fawcett, Adam Roskell, Jay Bardsley, Andrew Taylor, Andrew Ireland, Dan Curwen, King’s landlord Mick Gornall and Andrew Pyke all having their locks shorn by Sam, from Sam’s Barbers, Thomas’ Weind.

Organiser Emily Richardson said: “We would like to thank Sam for supporting us in a huge way by shaving the lads’ heads and Mick Gornall from the Kings for letting us use his pub as our location for the fund-raising.

“And a big thanks to everyone who donated – well done to the lads!’’
