There are vacancies in Claughton-on-Brock, Cabus, Great Eccleston, Inskip with Sowerby, Out Rawcliffe and Upper Rawcliffe with Tarnacre.

A spokeswoman said: “Some areas could be grouped together.

“We’re looking for people with local knowledge and easy access to the locations concerned.

“Registration forms are going out to households from 1 October.

“Six weeks later we will need canvassers to call on those who have not responded, reminding them to complete their forms.”

A training session will be held on Tuesday 22 or Wednesday 23 October.

The canvassing will take place between November 13 and December 3.

Anyone interested should email email with your name, address, contact details and the area you would prefer to canvass.
