Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was injured after he took evasive action in his car to miss a speeding vehicle in Pilling.

The incident took place between 3pm and 4pm on Backsands Lane on Friday July 19 when a vehicle has allegedly driven around the corner at high speed on the wrong side of the road and failed to see the oncoming car.

This has caused the victim to have to swerve which consequently meant his car, a black Mercedes C220 Sport, ended up crashing into a wall.

PC Byrony Fell of Lancashire police is now appealing for anyone who might have seen anything to come forward.

PC Fell said: “Fortunately the victim only sustained minor injuries.

“But I would appeal to anybody that witnessed this incident or for the driver of the other car involved to come forward and call police on 101 so we can establish exactly what happened.”
