It’s a woof world out there.....just ask ‘The Apprentice’ cast.

The popular TV series is providing inspiration for some captivating local canine Christmas capers.

Following the success of last year’s doggy pantomime featuring an all star canine cast dog trainer Flick (Felicity) Ashford has penned a new panto with performances in Pilling and Cleveleys.

Kitty Clark, whose German Shepherd Belgian Malinois appears in the show, explained: “It’s a cross between ‘St Trinian’s’ and ‘The Apprentice’. In order to save the school the dogs have to go and win ‘The Apprentice’ to get the pot of money.”

The 11 dogs taking part in the pantomime, range from a labrador to boxers and spaniels, and are all trained by Flick at her Over Wyre Dog Agility Group which meets at her premises on Old Tom’s Lane in Stalmine.

Kitty said: “Rehearsals have been fantastic organised chaos. It’s been great fun and the dogs are very much enjoying themselves.”

Proceeds will go to two charities - Brian House Children’s Hospice and Bravo Working Dog Rescue.

There will be two performances. The first at Pilling Memorial Hall this evening is sold out. The second is at Cleveleys Community Hall on December 21 at 7.30pm. Tickets can be obtained via the website www.doggypanto.com
