Parents and teachers enjoyed an evening of dinner and dancing in aid of St Francis’s School, Goosnargh.

The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association held their annual fundraising ball at Ferrari’s Country House Hotel, in Chipping Road, Thornley, near Longridge.

Almost 80 guests dined on a three course meal of vegetable or mushroom soup, followed by roast beef with all the trimmings or chicken in pepper sauce.

For dessert, they could choose from a fresh fruit pavlova or sticky toffee pudding.

Tables were beautifully decorated by staff at Charisma Cards in Longridge.

During the meal, bids were taken for a silent auction for prizes including a beautiful silver necklace donated by George Banks Jewellers, which raised £85, a spa day at Ribby Hall which made £100 and a session feeding the giraffes at Blackpool Zoo which sold for £250.

Then guests were entertained by music from live band, Chord in the Act, before a DJ kept everyone dancing until midnight.

The event raised around £1,500 for the school. PTFA chairman Sarah Fishwick said: “It was an amazing evening - but then it always is!”
