Meet Grizedale’s green giants.

Pupils from Grizedale class (years two and three) at Scorton CE Primary School have all been awarded the green Blue Peter badge for their environmental work at school.

The class has been studying a topic of’ Eco Warriors’ and took part in a range of activities to show their commitment to improving the local and world environment.

Headteacher Helen Hesketh said: “The children have studied the effects of global warming and pollution, taken part in a litter pick, produced posters for recycling and studied minibeasts and their habitats.”

The pupils and their teacher, Mrs Sarah Thwaites, now hope to become Eco Warriors for the whole school and work towards the Green Eco Schools flag award.
