Compost bins on offer

Lancashire County Council is urging residents to make the most of discounts on compost bins before price rises come in at the start of April.

Compost converters are available from £21.49 for a 220 -litre bin including delivery, representing a significant saving on products of similar specification online . A buy one, get one half-price offer is also available for keen gardeners or anyone who’d like to team up with a neighbour to buy a bin.

Composting selected kitchen and garden waste is an easy and effective way of reducing, reusing and recycling daily waste, while improving gardens and the environment.

The discounts are available from Get Composting at www.getcomposting.com or by calling 0844 571 4444 thanks to the regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnerships which work to get a better deal for councils in delivering local services.

The scheme is not subsidised by Lancashire County Council.
