Lancashire County Council has extended the consultation period for Cuadrilla’s planning applications for the Preston New Road and Roseacre Wood sites in Lancashire.

The county council has been asked to consider an extension to the consultation period on the proposed fracking sites due to the size of the applications’ supporting documents.

The consultation for the Preston New Road site will now run until Friday, September 5, and the
Roseacre Wood consultation until Friday, September 19.

The application and supporting documents are available to view at County Hall in Preston and at the planning department of Fylde Borough Council during normal office hours, as well as the libraries at Kirkham, St Anne’s, Lytham and Ansdell.

The application documents are also available to view on the county council’s website.
