A youngster who represented Garstang School of Gymnastics in the UK Championships is the winner of the Mike’s Sportsworld Garstang Courier Trophy.

Max Whyte, 11, attends Garstang Community Primary School. Headteacher Stephanie Reeves said: “Max trains with the School of Gymnastics several times a week.

“We nominated him for the trophy because of his success reprenting his club in a national competition.

“He was also invited to Lilleshall National Sports Centre to take part in their training camp.”
