“We pulled up anchor and the adventure cruise launched into a week of fun-filled activities!”
That’s how ‘captain’ Grace Holland reports Chipping Congregational Church’s annual children’s holiday club, which saw 25 youngsters sailing off into ‘a great week’ of learning arts, crafts and about their faith.
Organised by church’s leaders, the crew cruised the five C’s – choice, courage, call, change and commitment – “and we met people along the way whose lives changed course after they met Jesus,” said Grace.
“On day three, we learnt about the blind man who called out to him for help. His name was Artimaeus, Jesus healed him and he chose to follow him.”
This showed the youngsters it did not matter whether people were rich or poor, old or young, they could call on him any time and anywhere.
