AROUND 70 young people from the Garstang area attended the summer holiday club at Garstang Free Methodist Church.
Theme for the week was ‘waste watchers and recycling’, which was put into a Christian context about the transforming power of Jesus.
Activities, enjoyed by the children and several adults included games, singing, crafts, refreshments.
There visit from the Great Uncle Bulgaria, one of the Wombles, one of the TV creatures known for their litter picking activities at Wimbledon Common.
A related event, a bar-b-que was held on the Thursday evening, attended by about 170 people.
