Leader of Lancashire County Council Geoff Driver will visit Garstang on Monday to discuss issues in the town.
Coun Driver and highways and transport cabinet member Coun Tim Ashton will attend the meeting of Garstang Town Council at the community centre on February 20 at 7.30pm.
The visit will be an opportunity for councillors and members of the public to ask questions about the recently introduced 20mph zone.
At last month’s meeting councillors expressed disappointment at LCC for the lack of formal communication following the decision to close the Claughton Household Waste Recycling Centre and the introduction of the 20mph safty measures.
Throughout the town’s campaign to save the tip, Coun Driver maintained he would visit Garstang to discuss changes with residents only when final decisions had been made.
Monday’s agenda will also include further discussions on the Garstang Leisure Centre. The Town Council are expected to move forward with a response to Wyre Council in relation to the current leisure review.
All residents are welcome to the meeting which will be held at the Community Centre starting at 7.30pm.
