Customers love new cut-throat business
ThBArber Shop great Eccleston
Businesses often claim to be cut-throat, but a Great Eccleston barbers can go one better.
The Barber Shop, in The Weind, opened three months ago, and is offering customers a close shave in the truest sense of the word, with cut-throat razors, hot towels and, not for the faint-hearted, flames to burn off ear hair.
“Customers love it, and we have people travelling from all over,” said Toni Riddick, who is working in the shop with owner Caz Matthewson.
“Caz has had shops in Spain, and I learned the craft from a Kurdish barber,” said Toni.
“Men’s grooming has really taken off, but while there are shops in Manchester and other big towns, there was nothing like this in Great Eccleston.
“This is a traditional barber’s shop. We have a complete grooming service for men, including eyebrow trims and even waxing nose hair. We find that once people have tried a proper cut-throat shave, they come back again and again.”
