Man denies caravan park burglaries
A 40-year-old man has appeared before magistrates charged with a spate of burglaries, mostly on or near holiday caravan parks.
Leslie Steven Rawstron, pleaded not guilty to 18 charges of dwelling burglary involving property worth more than £17,000, and one charge of attempted burglary.
The burglaries are alleged to have been committed at Claylands Caravan Park, Cabus,; Rawcliffe Hall Caravan Park, Out Rawcliffe; Lake Coast and Leisure Park; South Lakeland Leisure Village; Redwell Caravan Park, Carnforth; Beacon Fell View Caravan Park and Greenbank Park, Longridge, along with addresses in Poplar Drive and Whittingham Road, Longridge. Another charge relates to a burglary at a house on Higher Road, Longridge when goods and cash totalling were taken £6,120.
Rawstron, of Cherry Close, Blackburn, denied all charges. Blackburn magistrates sent him in custody to Preston Crown Court to stand trial.
