Police plea after cars are targeted

editorial image

Police at Broughton are appealing for any witnesses to come forward after two cars were targeted by thieves on the car park of the Marriott Hotel.

They are also warning people who may park on hotel car parks, such as the Marriott, Ibis or Barton Grange, not to leave anything of importance or of value in their vehicles.

On Wednesday, December 12, between 5 and 8.45pm a brief case containing documents worth £100 was stolen from a BMW parked at the Marriott after thieves smashed the rear windscreen.

The same day, between 6 and 7pm, another BMW was targeted the same way, with the rear windscreen smashed, but nothing was stolen.

Anyone who feels they can help the police is asked to get in touch with the team at Broughton on 01772 863390 or, alternatively, to ring the number 101.
