Could you consider offering a permanent home and family to a child who is not able to live with their birth family?
Lancashire County Council is inviting people to an information evening to find out more.
People who have adopted will be there to share their experiences, and social workers will also be available to answer questions.
The event will be held on Thursday, May 16 from 6pm to 7.30pm in Cabinet Room D, County Hall, Fishergate Hill, Pitt Street, Preston.
There is free parking and disabled access.
A spokesman said: “We need people from all backgrounds. You must be over 21, and living in Lancashire or close by, but whatever your race, gender, sexuality, living arrangements, age and employment status we want to hear from you. “What matters to us are your personal qualities and that you are able to provide a loving home where you can support and look after a child throughout their childhood and beyond.
“We are looking to place children from young babies up to the age of eight years.”
