Ho, ho, ho, and a Merry Christmas to everyone.

Santa and his helpers kicked off a week’s fund-raising for local charities with a stint outside Booths supermarket, Cherestanc Square, in Garstang, on Saturday.

The festive favourite welcomed children on to his sleigh and listened to their Christmas wishes.

Then on Monday, it was out to Catterall, starting at The Pickerings Hotel and travelling along Joe Lane, Woburn Avenue, Baylton Drive and into Cock Robin Lane before heding up to Catterall Gates Lane and into Topiary Gardens.

Yesterday, Santa toured Garstang and Cabus, setting off from High Street, then on to Kepple Lane, Hazlehurst Drive, Moss Lane, Dorchester Road, Croston Road, Lancaster Road, Calla Drive and The Hawthorns, ending up back at the Post Office.

Santa’s trip was organised by Garstang and Over Wyre Rotary Club, whose members collected along the way, with the proceeds to be divided among local charities.
