The winning planter in Grimsargh Planter Competition

The village of Grimsargh has being looking particularly beautiful this summer, thanks to those who make up planters placed around the village.

The parish council held a strawberry tea as a thank you for the individuals and groups who plant and maintain the displays around the village. During the event, the results of the planter judging were announced and prizes awarded to the top three.

The planters were judged by Michelle Unsworth, So Plants at Alston, and she 
donated a voucher for the first prize winner.

The event was attended by a number of parish councillors as well as representatives from the groups who adopt the planters.

The results were: 1, Grimsargh Players; 2, 1st Grimsargh Brownies; 3, Peter Croft.

Prizes and certificates donated by the parish council were given to the prize winners by Michelle.
