Pupils ventured outside the classroom for a lesson in languages – jetting across the world to China!
More than 20 young explorers and staff from St Aidan’s Technology College in Preesall travelled to Beijing for a taste of the Far East.
The week-long trip included visits to all the iconic sights , including the Temple of Heaven, Lama Temple, Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Olympic Park and the Beijing Zoo to see the giant pandas.
The pupils also visited a Chinese school to try their skills at Chinese calligraphy.
A school spokesman said: “A very big highlight of the week was definitely walking along the Great Wall of China, which was certainly a challenge due to the incredible inclines along the way.
“The food, the bartering in the markets and a wonderful tour guide certainly made the trip to China an unforgettable experience.”
