Pupils win in national story-telling contest

Two pupils from Winmarleigh Primary School have won prizes in a national story writing competition open to children aged four to 11.

Run by Arthouse, one of the country’s leading suppliers of interior decor, children were asked to base their stories on the company’s imagine fun collection of wallpaper.

Jorja Nickson (year 4) was awarded a runner-up prize for her story The Golden Unicorn and Emily Thornton (year 6) won one of the main prizes for her story ‘Don’t Bug Me’ including being chosen to be published in ‘The Little Book of Imagination’.
