Changes to the regular collections of waste paper are under way.
Householders in Longridge and the Ribble Valley are reminded to leave their white sacks containing waste paper and cardboard for collection by 7.30am on their collection day.
Ribble Valley Borough Council took its kerbside collection of waste paper and cardboard in-house this week on July 1.
The move was decided on in a drive to increase efficiency and boost recycling rates.
Private contractors previously collected the paper at different times throughout the day.
Households are now being asked to put their white sacks out for collection by 7.30am.
The white sack service will be aligned with the council’s collection of general and recyclable waste later this year.
This will be the time when households receive green wheelie bins for the collection of uncooked food and garden waste. If you need a white sack for the collection of waste paper and cardboard, phone Ribble Valley Borough Council on 01200 425111.
