Some 36 Year 2 children from Garstang Community Primary School took time out of class to entertain the shoppers of Sainsbury’s in Garstang.

They sang a selection of songs from their nativity play, “It’s a Baby”, while shoppers stopped to listen.

A spokesman for the school said: “This was a lovely opportunity for the children to give something back to the community.

“They had worked hard to learn lots of new songs for their play, and were very excited about singing them for the people of Garstang.

“They sang beautifully and I’m sure the shopping experience of many people that morning was an improvement on the usual!”
