It was happy birthday to Victoria Gornall when she turned eight on Christmas Eve at the family farm in Chaigley.

And then it was happy birth day when the farm’s first lambs of the season – and triplets too – were born on Christmas Day.

Victoria was given charge of bottle-feeding the trio to help out their cross-breed mum, the first of the 100 ewes belonging to Victoria’s grandparents, Gerard and Pam Gornall, to give birth this season.

Now Victoria, daughter of Armrydding Farm family members Stephen and Liz Gornall, has named her three charges Little Baa, Snowy and Titch.

She says she will feed them until they are big enough to be out in the fields with the other sheep and lambs.
