Young Citizen honour for Oliver

Oliver Atkinson, former youth mayor of Garstang,  was a runner up in the recent Lancashire Young Citizen of the Year 2016 awards and was presented with his Highly Commended certificate by Amanda Parker High Sheriff of Lancashire last Thursday evening.

Garstang’s former youth mayor received another commendation when he was runner up in the Lancashire Young Citizen awards.

Oliver, who is still a youth councillor in Garstang, was presented with his Highly Commended certificate by Amanda Parker, High Sheriff of Lancashire, in a cermony at Hutton Police HQ.

He was praised for his community involvement, his fundraising for Kepple Lane Park, and for generally raising the profile of Garstang Youth Council.
