Using rare archive film, it reveals the stories behind the first British powered flight by A.V. Roe in 1908, thousands of civil and military aircraft built by the Sopwith, Hawker, Vickers and British Aircraft Corporation companies. The film also highlights the crucial role that Brooklands played in flying training, record-breaking flights, light aviation, the design of the ’Dambusters’ bouncing bomb, and the significant contributions to more recent world-leading projects - most notably Concorde, Airbus, Hawk and Tornado.
