THE popular Cockerham Triathlon was held on Bank Holiday Monday, August 27.
The fifth time the event has been run it attracted entries from competitors from both the local area and much further afield - all keen to tackle the demanding challenges of the race.
Those taking part completed a 350 metre lake swim, followed by a 15km cycle ride and then finished off with a 5km run.
With the start and finish at Cockerham Quarry, the triathlon is set in and around some of the picturesque countryside around the village of Cockerham and takes in some beautiful scenary including Cockersands Abbey, Morecambe Bay and views out to the Bowland hills.
