West Lancs Reserve Division 1
Charnock Richard Res 4
Garstang Reserves 1
Garstang travelled to high flying Charnock Richard looking to continue where they left off last week.
Unfortunately Garstang were not at the top of their game and Charnock capitalised at key moments in the game.
Just as the game started to settle down with both teams looking lively, Charnock scored two quick goals in the 20th and 25th minute which killed the game for Garstang.
The first Charnock goal was the result of a rapid counter attack down the left channel with the ball eventually being controlled by the excellent Charnock centre forward Donnellan with his back to the Garstang goal.
Unfortunately the defence gave him too much space and he was able to back heel the ball into the net.
The second goal came from Donnellan on the edge of the box, who wasted no time in getting his shot away into the top corner of the Garstang net.
Swindlehurst was rewarded early in the second half when he fired in a long range shot outside the box to make it 2-1.
But Charnock soon scored their third with a tremendous curling shot from outside the box.
Panepinto then got caught in possession and Charnock broke quickly and a cross later an easy tap in was presented to Charnock to make it 4-1 Bailey made changes to try and spark a response but it was to no avail.
