Fulwood Amateurs res 0

After overnight rain, Garstang entertained Fulwood Amateurs on a very wet pitch which both teams took time to come to terms with.

Garstang settled the better, dominating the early exchanges, and the opening goal came in the 28th minute when Oscar Panerpinto was fouled by the outrushing goalkeeper. Andy Taylor (jun) stepped up to slot in the penalty.

In the 48th minute Garstang doubled their lead following good work from Oscar Panerpinto putting in Jack Swindlehurst who laid on Adam Roskell to tap in.

Adam Roskell was in the thick of it again in the 50th minute after good work found Ben Stuart on the back post who confidently found the net.

Garstang continued to dominate, carving out numerous chances.

The fourth came from a tame cross from Graham Jack which Fulwood’s no.3 sidefooted into his own goal – it was obviosly not going to be their day.

Paul Southwood replaced Andy Taylor (jun) in the 73th minute after which Fulwood had their best spell giving Dan Curwen a couple of shots to deal with.

In the 87th minute Garstang scored a fifth, with Oscar Panerpinto beating the last defender before drawing the goalkeeper and cooly picking his spot.
