Garstang FC have been handed a home draw as they bid to reach the last four of this season’s Lancashire Amateur Shield.

Lee Baker’s men will welcome AFC Monton to The Riverside a week on Saturday with kick-off at 1.30pm.

Their visitors are members of the Manchester Football League and reached the quarter-finals with a 3-1 defeat of GSK Ulverston Rangers last time out.

They presently lie seventh in the league table with 16 points from nine games so far, though they have three games in hand on teams around them – including the table-topping Rochdale Sacred Heart.

The other games are: Leyland United v Tempest United, Burscough Richmond v Turton and Blackpool Wren Rovers v Denton Town.

Having won 4-0 at Slyne with Hest in last Saturday’s Richardson Cup tie, Garstang are at Crooklands Casuals on Saturday (2pm).

They are hoping to do the double after beating Crooklands 7-1 in August.
