Reserve team management duo Paul Bailey and Alec Curwen have been put in temporary charge of first team affairs at Garstang FC.
It follows last week’s shock resignations of first team manager Iain Swan and his assistant, Dave Porter.
Chairman Adrian Wilding says that, as a short term solution for the next two or three weeks, the reserve manager Paul and his assistant Alec will take charge of first team affairs, while Paul Southward and Marc Armstrong will look after the reserves.
Adrian said: “It was unexpected to lose the manager and assistant, but the committee has acted quickly and the people we have put in place will do an excellent job for the club whilst we consider full-time replacements.
“We are not rushing to make appointments, as we have to choose the right people to take the club forward.
“People can see how impressive the new floodlights are and how far we have come as a club. We must now get things progressing on the pitch.”
Commercial manager Les Taylor added: “The appointment of the reserve management team is for the short term. Obviously for the long term there are names being thrown about, but we are not in any panic or rush to appoint a manager and will be making a short list in the next week to 10 days.”
