Guest speaker at Garstang FC’s sportsman’s dinner, former Bradford City, Aberdeen and Hull City striker Dean Windass, blew away the audience with his up front honesty and frank views of his varied career.

Dean told of the goal he scored at Wembley for his beloved Hull City which saw his team promoted to the Premier League.

The dinner was held at the Garstang Hotel and Golf Club for the first time with a packed room of 245 people enjoying a first class meal and an evening of entertainment.

After dinner speaker in his own right and all round entertainer Norman Prince is a true master of ceremonies and kept the night moving introducing Windass who endeared himself to all who attended.

Comedian Sean Styles made sure everyone went home laughing from a dinner that was kindly sponsored by Bay Radio.
