Fun day at Longridge hockey club

Longridge Hockey Club is holding a club Fun Day on Saturday, September 7.

Everyone is welcome to attend the free event, which will run from 10am till noon at Longridge High School in Preston Road.

There will be lots of hockey activities as well as a cake stall and a raffle.

Longridge Hockey Club has grown in size and stature since its foundation in 1976. It now has three senior women’s teams and two junior teams.

In 2011 the 1st team gained promotion to the North Premier league, and now play teams such as City of York, Durham University, Whitley Bay and Lancaster. The 2nds and 3rds play in the local LCWHA leagues.

The junior section is for girls and boys from seven upwards. They train on Tuesday evenings at Longridge High School and the U13 and U15 teams compete in local leagues on Sunday mornings. For more information contact the club secretary, Anna Sutcliffe on 01995 640861.
