The U7s, took five players down, and with Clitheroe having nine, it was agreed they would play seven a side so everyone would get a full game.

The boys enjoyed a full 40 mis and everyone got to score at least one try. Special mention to Henry Lathom for being a great captain, George Ayers for excellent defence and Lewis and James from Clitheroe for putting on a Garstang shirt and playing against their friends.

The U8s, started slowly but things soon started to pick up when the boys started to run straight and use short passes to put their teammates into space. Matthew, Harry and Jake ran hard all morning and Alfie and William defended well too. Alfie Iredale was nominated man of the match for his excellent all round game.

The U9s and U10s were both playing on the adjacent pitch to the TAG teams while the U12s played two well contested games, drawing the first two tries a piece and again drawing the second, this time a scoreless draw, showing how well both sides can defend. Special mentions going to Elliot and Charlie for excellent tackling.

The U14s had played a tough hard game in good spirits lost out to a more experienced Clitheroe team.

Next weekend Garstang welcome Clitheroe back to Hudson Park for some well earned home matches.
