Youngsters from Garstang Amateur Swimming Club took some time out of the pool to celebrate a year of success.

Members of Garstang Gators have picked up a number of personal bests at local, country and regional events and a host of other titles.

And already the swimmers are on track for another great season with the micro league team winning a friendly held swimming gala at Fleetwood.

The annual club celebration event at Garstang Golf and Country Club saw head coach Sue Booth make presentations of trophies and medals to the swimmers in recognition of all the hard work and training they have put in over the past year.

She said: “The swimmers had a good year of results, many of them achieving personal best times at local, county and regional events.”

The club have also announced their new capatains for 2014, with Phoebe Collinson and Matthew Jennings selected to represent the juniors and Rosie Hewitt and William Atkinson as senior captains.
